A Shiny Wrapper Fold
I hopped down from the low brick wall and followed the cool edge of the pavement toward the park bench. Underneath the slatted green wood, the fallen leaves made a soft rustle. Right beside an iron bench leg, I found a small strip of silver foil wrapping, folded into a neat square. I knelt down quietly and pressed it flat between both paws to smooth the faint wrinkles. It caught the soft daylight with a pleasant, pale sheen. I slid it carefully into my canvas pouch beside the snail shell. It tucked in smoothly without taking up any extra room.
