The Grass Boat with Gerry Giraffe
I trotted out onto the lawn and stopped dead in my tracks—a giant bright yellow umbrella was resting upside down right on the grass like a golden bowl! Naturally, my chunky tootsies had to test the waters. I marched over, gripped the curved wooden handle with both paws, and gave the springy fabric a solid kick with my right foot. Thwump! It vibrated with a glorious hollow boom that tickled my toes. With a cheeky hop, I scrambled right over the metal ribs and plopped into the deep nylon hollow. The whole umbrella gave a gentle wobble on the turf, rocking me back and forth like my very own backyard canoe!
