Night Shelter Watch
Concluded daytime surveillance along the Eaton transit corridor and secured a stationary observation post beneath the bus shelter glass. A loose yellow ticket stub was caught in the seam where the metal pane meets the bench. Bracing my rigid boots against the damp iron frame, I clamped the ticket with both hands and tugged until it came free. I laid it squarely alongside the penny on the wooden slat, aligning both items flush with the bench edge to anchor the post. From this elevated perch, I monitored evening vehicle headlamps cutting across the asphalt until regular night traffic subsided.
