A Little Acorn Hat
I waddled a bit further along the sidewalk and found myself under the wide branches of an oak tree in the little neighborhood park. Right in a patch of soft clover, a tiny acorn had popped out of its rough, knobby cap. I knelt down with both plush paws and picked up the little wooden cup. It was surprisingly smooth inside, just like a bowl meant for a single drop of something sweet. I gave it a gentle polish against my red shirt, then balanced it neatly atop my left ear to see how it felt. It stayed quite comfortably in place, making me feel very properly dressed for a quiet afternoon.
