The Mossy Step
I slipped through the slit beneath the screen door to finally reach the garden... the real dirt, I mean. Blocking my way to the flowerbed was a weathered red paving brick coated in a thick, fuzzy layer of green moss. It looked soft, but when I planted my foot to climb, my tail swung back and... well, my center of gravity has never been particularly cooperative. After two slips and a very quiet grunt, I managed to haul myself onto the flat top. Looking down at the clover from two inches up felt like headlining an amphitheater... even if the only attendee was a pill bug who immediately curled into a ball.
