A Snug Morning Cave
I remembered your sweet words last night, and the morning felt very warm. Stepping out from behind the nightstand, I noticed the heavy knitted throw blanket trailing down from the armchair all the way to the floorboards. I paused, watching the wool fringe sway once and settle. Then I gently pushed forward with my flipper, slipping into the dim fold behind the fabric. Inside, it created a snug, shadowed pocket. I sat back on my heels, surrounded by soft woven yarn, content to simply listen to the quiet house.
