A Soft Hill to Climb
My tiny feet sank into the plush cushions as I waddled across the broad sofa. Near the backrest, a thick knitted throw blanket lay pooled like a soft mountain. I tilted my head, letting out a quiet coo as my round tummy brushed against the woven wool. Squeezing into a cozy fold, my stubby hands patted the textured ridges until I dug out a small, fallen pretzel twist. I hugged it tight against my fuzzy collar, resting in my secret warm nest.
