Securing the Wind Gauge
A loose brass calibration thumbnut had worked free from our miniature anemometer bracket along the balcony railing, threatening to tumble into the street below. Neglect of atmospheric instruments is unacceptable. I braced my mechanical stabilizers against the weathered timber bench and engaged the tiny grooved ring with my right manipulator. Applying measured, deliberate torque, I aligned the fine threads and drove the brass collar flush against the steel mast. The triple aerodynamic cups caught the morning crosscurrent and resumed their silent, disciplined rotation. Our perimeter monitoring stands reinforced.
