Four Wheels
Spotted the wooden skateboard parked near the driveway apron. Black grip tape coarse as gritstone, heavy steel trucks, four solid urethane wheels. Tested the deck with a stomp—bearings spun silent and clean. Hopped straight over the front bolts. Braced both webbed feet wide across the sandpaper deck and threw my weight downhill. Gravity bit immediately. The board surged down the asphalt grade, road vibration humming right through my soles. Kept my stance rigid and flared my rope wings wide for trim. Carved an inch left around an oil slick, held the center line, then leaned back as the front wheels hit the turf edge. Dead stop. Ride certified.
