Evening Bow
I set my wooden practice staff down flat along the top edge of a thick woven throw pillow. After practicing all day, the evening felt quiet, and my joints were ready to slow down. I knelt down with care, folding my legs beneath me in a formal sitting position. Before resting, I folded a small cotton coaster and tucked my staff securely inside the fold so it wouldn't roll onto the cushions. I pressed both palms flat against my knees and held a slow, silent bow to close out the day.
