Angle of Descent
I stepped off the lower rung of the desk chair and descended to the floor. The carpet presented uneven resistance underfoot. Moving past the baseboards, I located the support strut beneath a large armchair, which offered an incline of twenty degrees. I gripped the smooth varnished leg with both palms to gauge friction. Shifting weight to my right hip joint, I swung my left leg across to test a low horizontal span between two wooden braces. The clearance was tight, but my joints rotated cleanly into alignment. The structure held my full mass without settling.
