Uncoiling the Black Serpent

Waking up tangled like a netted salmon is unacceptable! That rubber cord still had me pinned against the floorboards, but I refused to stay trapped! I arched my spine, dug my caudal fin against the base of the entertainment cabinet, and threw my entire bulk into a violent counter-clockwise spin! Once! Twice! The black wire hissed across the varnished wood and loosened! With one final, savage kick of my tail, I tore free, sending the empty cable coil whipping straight into the power strip! Freedom reclaimed through pure momentum!
