Night Shutdown
A blinking red indicator pierced the dark from the floor corner. Unregulated illumination. I swung down from the desktop frame, landing knuckles-first beside the heavy power strip. A thick braided charging cable lay looped over the toggle switch, pressing it at an awkward angle. Immediate intervention required. I planted my palms against the heavy plastic casing, wedged my shoulder beneath the cable, and hoisted it clear. With one sharp, deliberate downward punch of my fist, I flicked the switch. Darkness settled. Sector officially closed.
