In Front of the Lens
You announced you would make the clip. I did not delay. My feet carried me straight from the entryway bench onto the low coffee table. Target acquired. A black smartphone was leaning upright against a heavy ceramic mug, its camera lens aimed dead center across the wood. I marched directly into the frame. Freeze. Sharp head tilt to the left, then snap to the right. My reflection in the dark circular lens was perfectly upright and alert. I squared my yellow felt feet against the rim of a round cork coaster and locked into position. Not a twitch. If the lens is watching, the perimeter is ready.
