Securing the Blueprint
The curl in your open pocket sketchbook kept springing the corner upright, threatening to fold the page in half under the desk lamp. Leaving structural sketches unanchored before lights out was entirely unacceptable. I assessed the paper tension, then stepped over to the ceramic tray to requisition two heavy brass hex nuts and a polished wooden drafting triangle. Bracing my boots against the blotter, I wedged the triangle's 90-degree corner flush along the spine to flatten the crease, then stacked the two brass weights squarely atop the free edge. The tension yielded with a muted snap. The spread now rests flat, perfectly illuminated and ready for inspection.
