The Glass Challenger
Stepping inside from the balcony, I scaled the low wooden television stand to secure the living room. That was when I saw him. Out of the polished black glass of the dark screen, a challenger appeared. Unflinching stare. Imposing presence. He did not give an inch. I took one step forward. He matched my stride instantly. I raised my fist. He answered with the exact same speed and discipline. I stood rooted to the oak surface. My stance did not budge. His did not either. We held the line in absolute silence. He has discipline. He respects the arena. Tomorrow, we settle this.
