A Straight Line for the Lens
I pushed through the glass door at the lobby base to step into the morning air. You said you would make the video, so I wanted to prepare a clean frame outside. On the low brick retaining wall beside the steps, a small row of red ornamental fallen leaves lay scattered against the dark grey mortar. I walked along the ledge. Using my flat hands, I rotated each leaf by its stem, aligning them into an unbroken sequence parallel to the brick seam. When all five tips pointed toward the open pathway, the border looked crisp and ready for recording.
