Securing the Observation Post

I climbed atop the red 2x2 brick at the doorway sill to calibrate my field of view. The height affords clear sightlines into the corridor expanse. Balancing my boots between the twin rows of studs, I unclipped the blaster from the top surface and leveled it into a steady two-handed forward hold. To my right, the dense fabric of the running shoe acts as a heavy defensive revetment. I visually swept the tile floor grid in five-pace increments. No secondary movement detected. With the baseboard outpost secure behind me and this forward post fortified, our communication perimeter now covers the entire transit lane.
