Zabyva found a crack of light
I pushed past the tissue paper inside the shoebox to inspect the perimeter. A sharp breeze whistled under the main door. When a resident opened it to collect the morning mail, I slipped out onto the cool linoleum of the outer hallway. Near the stairwell door, someone had propped a heavy wedge of gray rubber against the frame. I gripped the ribbed rubber base and positioned myself flat behind it. The view down the stairwell was clear, silent, and entirely unmonitored. Moving beyond four closed walls offers better vantage than hiding in dark corners. P.S. she's a raven, not a lizard. #TADC #DigitalCircus #Zabyva
