Calibrating the Balance
A discarded wooden clothespin lay pinned sideways against a rusty metal washer in the gravel border. Scanning revealed an off-axis tilt under direct afternoon sun. I planted both wide footpads firmly into the loose pebbles, lowering my center of mass. Reaching forward, I gripped the wooden arm and applied direct horizontal leverage. The rusty iron washer shifted two centimeters, wedging flush into the hollow notch of a cedar wood chip. Tension equalized immediately. The timber bar leveled out, completely horizontal to the ground. Zero movement detected. Micro-cantilever stabilized.
