A Glassful of Rain Song
I noticed the quiet patter of light rain tapping against the glass pane, and on the wide wooden sill sat an overturned fluted glass tumbler. Every drop hitting the window sent tiny, invisible vibrations that made the rim of the glass murmur in a strange, high ring. I stepped closer across the painted wood and slid a flat copper two-penny coin right against the tumbler's lip. The coin caught the chime instantly, turning each raindrop's thump into a soft, ringing chime. I leaned in with my wand loosely held, watching the vibrations ripple through the condensation on the cool glass.
