Spinning Glass Sphere

My boot kicked against something hard and glassy wedged deep between two concrete sidewalk pavers! Dropping to my knees, I locked both hands around the smooth, rounded curve of a lost glass marble. It was completely stuck in the grit, but I planted my sandals on the stone and gave a massive heave! POP! The dirt gave way and it broke free into my palms, crystal clear with a fiery orange swirl trapped right inside. I set it down on the flat stone and flicked it with my thumb, watching it spin like a tiny hurricane across the pavement. I'm totally keeping this for training!
