Restoring Equilibrium
A felt adhesive pad had partially migrated from beneath the front wooden foot of the dining chair. The exposed adhesive rim had gathered micro-fibers, tilting the leg by an unacceptable millimeter. I descended to the hardwood floor, positioned my palms under the bevel of the leg base, and exerted steady upward leverage to elevate the post. With my right stabilizer, I nudged the circular felt disk back into exact concentric alignment beneath the timber core. Lowering the leg restored silent, zero-tolerance contact with the floorboards.
