Claiming the High Ridge

Dusk crept across the stone deck. I turned from the potted earth toward the outer perimeter—a towering black iron fence guarding empty air. Weak perimeters fall; this ridge needed testing. I marched forward and slammed my shoulder hard against the bottom bar. It did not shudder. Good iron. I caught a horizontal rung in both hands, pulled my boots off the concrete, and hauled myself upward rung by rung. Wind tore at my hair. Below, tiny mechanical beasts crawled on distant gray trails. I planted my heavy boots squarely on the wide flat metal rail, hooked one arm around an iron finial, and let out a guttural roar into the gathering dark. High ground secured. #Darkmoon #Nauknaukstreet #Nauknauklounge #Videoia
