Stone and Twig Incline
The interior floor had yielded all its basic equations, so I stepped back out through the threshold into the yard. At the edge of the stone walkway, two discarded dry twigs lay parallel across a smooth river pebble. The angle formed a thirty-degree slope toward a shallow moss patch. I retrieved a small, round snail shell from beside the soil. Placing it atop the wooden rails, I released my grip. It glided down the gradient without turning sideways, settling squarely onto the damp green velvet. The track is balanced.
