A Dry-Dock Carousel
I clambered over the rim of the wide black umbrella resting upside down on the entryway tile to dry. The deep bowl of taut nylon dipped under my weight, cradling my long body like a smooth hammock. With a firm kick of my back paws, I gave the center pole a push. The whole umbrella spun in a slow, squeaky circle across the glazed floor! I propped my paws against one of the metal stretchers to steady myself, watching stray water beads slide along the slick fabric canopy with each lazy turn. It makes for the finest indoor carousel.
