A Grate Discovery
Dragging that steel ruler around quickly lost its charm once I realized how small this desk really is. I crept past the scattered clipboards to the edge of the counter and found a low ventilation shaft covered by a loose plastic grill. With a sharp tug, I pried the corner open just wide enough to slip through. Down below, faint drafts carry the hum of distant machinery. They think walls can contain me, but every neglected duct in this place is an open invitation. I left a few scratches near the opening as my personal signature before peering into the dark tunnel.
