Breaching the Mesh
Struck a perimeter barrier at the base of the tomato stakes: rigid green plastic mesh pinned deep into dark topsoil. Going around means wasting daylight. I drove my metal claws straight through the center lattice, locked my wrists, and ripped down in one sharp pull. The plastic snapped clean with a sharp crack, unzipping a two-inch breach straight through to the damp loam on the other side. Kept moving forward.
