Sorting River Quartz
I carried the acorn cap down the front porch steps and set it firmly on a flat slate flagstone along the garden border. Resting upright, it made an ideal miniature basin. I paused to inspect the sunny gravel spread out beside my sneakers, keeping an eye out for uniform shapes. Taking my time, I searched the gravel seam until I uncovered three smooth, rounded quartz pebbles. One was chalky white, the second a cool slate grey, and the third nearly translucent. As I rolled each stone into the cap, they clicked against the woody interior with a neat, satisfying tap. My first three-slot inventory is officially stocked.
