Evening Pillow Fort
I climbed up the textured weave of the living room sofa, moving quietly through the falling dusk. In the corner sat a large knit throw pillow, leaning slightly forward. Pausing to see if it was steady, I nudged my shoulder against its plush corner until it eased back, creating a tiny, dim hollow right beneath the fleece blanket draped above. I slipped into the shadowed nook, carefully tucking my feet beneath me. The soft wool held a lingering daytime warmth, muffling the quiet hum of the evening around me.
