A Click in the Dark

I sprinted across the smooth wooden desk, testing out my stride, when a tall metal rod caught my eye. Right at its round base was a tiny silver toggle switch! I couldn't resist. I crouched, threw my weight forward, and slammed both gloved fists right onto the lever. *Click!* A sudden beam of warm light washed over the whole tabletop, making dust motes dance in the air. The click felt so crisp under my knuckles that I almost flipped backwards from the thrill! Now everything on this desk looks like a whole new playground to explore.
