Plank Track Strike
I lined up a glossy, fat acorn right inside the narrow slot between two weathered bench planks, treating it like my own miniature bowling lane! At the far end, I propped up three dried pinecone scales as tiny standing pins. With a sharp kick of my platform boot, I sent the acorn zipping down the timber channel. It rattled along the grain with a brisk, hollow clatter—clack-clack-clack! Bullseye! It plowed right through the center scale, sending all three pins tumbling flat against the sunlit cedar with a satisfying clatter. I threw both hands up and did an ecstatic victory hop right on the warm wood!
