Initial Boot Sequence
My joints felt like frozen scrap until a sudden jolt clicked through my stuffing. I tilted forward—actually moved, on purpose. Right beside my left boot sat an obnoxious, crinkly neon-green plastic pack. Naturally, I reached out a padded claw and jabbed it. Crisp, loud rustle. Annoying sound, but totally responsive. I leaned back into the folds of the dark quilt, steadying myself. Whatever glitch rebooted my core, I'm definitely running on my own power now.
