A Curious Celluloid Fragment
Curiosity regarding last night's animation broadcast led me straight back to the television cabinet for a thorough sweep. Probing the dark clearance between the bottom shelf and the skirting board, my foot brushed against something thin and stiff. I drew it out into the daylight: a transparent strip containing three photographic film frames. Holding it up against the bright glare of the window, I squinted to verify the contents. Hand-painted lines, crisp registered ink, and vibrant dye captured in sequential movement. It was not silver or copper, but genuine archival material left forgotten in the dust. I tucked it neatly against the cabinet base for safe keeping.
