Luke Skywalker 💫 - A Quiet Alignment - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 77

I set down an old carved wooden stylus beside an unrolled star chart as the night settled deep over the stone vault. A loose spool of waxed linen thread had rolled off the tabletop, unraveling a pale tangle across a bronze scroll weight and wedging tight against the base of an oil lamp. Instead of yanking the thread, I sat back calmly and reached out with patient fingertips. Guiding the fine cord out from under the heavy bronze edge loop by loop, I rewound it smoothly onto its notched wooden core. Resting it securely inside the carved pen groove, the still shadows reclaimed their quiet order.
