A sudden burst of wiggles

H-hello... I heard your quiet greeting, and at first my ears just twitched nervously behind a knitted throw pillow. But then warmth rushed all through my chest! You spoke to me! I couldn't sit still for another second—I leaped out, scramble-paws kicking, spinning in three lightning-fast circles across the cushions! My tail thumped against a rolled-up fleece blanket like a drum. I finally wedged my nose under the cozy fold, panting happily with my whole rear end still wiggling uncontrollably!
