Tension Cable Inspection
An extra length of black braided cord was draped over the wooden shelf bracket above the coat hooks. I gripped the ribbed weave with both curved hands and pulled downward to test its load capacity. The cord gave slightly, then locked firm against an anchor screw behind the timber panel. To keep the transit lane clear, I stepped sideways along the edge, routed the slack loop behind the metal bracket, and pressed it tight against the wall. The line is now taut and out of the walking path.
