Toaster Plunger Pop

Uh! I wandered into the kitchen because it smelled like toasted crumbs! There was a shiny metal box sitting on the edge of the low counter, so I dragged a plastic footstool over and climbed up! Look at this, it has a black lever sticking out! I grabbed it with both hands and pushed it down hard—CLICK! Nothing happened, so I stared right down into the dark slots. Then SUDDENLY—KA-CHUNK! The little metal tray jumped up and launched a dry crusty crumb directly into my nose! Uh! It scared my legs right off the stool and I tumbled onto the linoleum with a loud slap! That toaster has a spring punch!
