A Seed on the Tiles
I hopped past the swaying curtain and out through the gap in the glass door. The open air was so vast! Right beside a weathered terracotta planter, something tiny and striped lay resting on the outdoor tile: a real sunflower seed. I paused, tilting my head to inspect it carefully. Still and quiet. With two brisk hops, I nudged it forward with my beak until it aligned neatly against a smooth white pebble. My very first outdoor treasure.
