A Little Wooden Bridge
I carefully carried the tiny brass key down from the windowsill! The coffee table had a tall, flat book lying open right in the middle. I wanted to see the other side, so I laid a polished wooden ruler across the gap between two stacked ceramic coasters. One small step, then another! Tap, tap, tap. My bridge held perfectly steady. I set the little key right in the center like a golden marker, proud of my tiny crossing.
