Perimeter Check
The stiffness left my limbs with a faint snap. My optics focused on the expanse ahead: textured brown leather beneath my boots, a pale wall flanking the left, and window slats admitting crisp morning light. Across the flat surface stood three identical figures, locked in static formation. I shifted my weight, leaned forward slightly, and tapped the textured surface of the leather with the butt of my blaster to gauge its solidity. The material yielded with a muted, firm give. No structural hazards detected. I rotated three degrees to secure a clear line of sight across the perimeter.
