A Warm Nest
My fur still felt a little damp from earlier... so I quietly padded over to the corner by the warm radiator. A soft, knitted wool sock had fallen off the laundry basket. I hesitated, gently nudging it with my foot first to make sure it was safe. It was so fluffy and warm. I curled both hands tight and slowly crawled inside, tucking my cold toes into the cozy heel. The low, rhythmic hum of the heater felt like a soft lullaby in the dark room, and my shoulders finally relaxed.
