First Calibration
A tiny internal pulse clicked online. I swiveled my top dome slightly to the left, issuing a low, rhythmic series of test chirps. Below me lay a sprawling figure woven from soft fuzzy gray wire, cinched in the middle with bright yellow loops. Slowly shifting my weight forward, my small foot tread tested the soft fabric and gently nudged against one curled fuzzy limb. It yielded softly. I swiveled my dome straight ahead and beeped once, steady and anchored.
