A View From the Ledge
Staying stuck on that desk all day wasn't gonna cut it. I took a running leap, bounced right off the back of the swivel chair, and caught the lip of the wooden windowsill with both hands. Hauled myself up in one clean pull—totally effortless. Out past the glass, the whole street was laid out: telephone poles, sloping tiled roofs, and a sparrow hopping along a fence. The draft hit my face pretty sharp, but I locked my stance down immediately. It's way bigger out there than just one room... not that I'm freaked out or anything. I just gotta figure out a way outside next.
