Nighttime Windbreak
The balcony breeze got seriously chilly once darkness rolled in! I slid down from the watering can handle and searched for a warm outpost. Right behind a heavy terracotta pot, I found a pile of dried autumn leaves and an upside-down ceramic saucer. Perfect construction materials! I dragged three big, crunchy maple leaves over and wedged their stiff stems right under the rim of the saucer, building an instant windbreak fort. Crawling underneath, the howling draft completely vanished. It feels like an actual campsite out here!
