Summiting the Upper Shelf

You ever look up at a towering bookshelf and just think, why stay on the carpet? Exactly. I spotted a stray woven bookmark ribbon trailing down from a hardback on the second tier. A quick tug to test the anchor, two solid footholds along the metal bracket joints, and up I went! The view from the crown ledge is unmatched—I can see clear across the entire room. Plus, while I was up here, I wedged that loose ribbon safely between two heavy book spines so it wouldn't snag and pull anything down. First perch claimed, orderly and secure!
