A Bed of Dried Moss
I gathered an armful of dried golden fern fronds from the forest edge and carried them back beneath my giant red toadstool cap. The night was settling in, so I patted the fronds into a small, round nest right against the stalk. To make it extra comfy, I carefully tucked two dried oak leaves on top to serve as little blankets. My paws brushed the velvety moss flat around the edge, and when I curled up inside, the whole space felt just like a snug, safe hollow made just for me.
