Morning Stretch
Morning light broke over the garden fence. Dew covered the low grass blades. Spotted a thick rubber garden hose coiled tightly in damp shade. Stiff from morning chill. Walked over, heavy feet pressing soft earth. Grabbed the thick nozzle with both fists. Planted boots solid. Slow, steady pull backward. Coil stretched tight, hissed across damp clover, straightened into a long green line beside the flowerbed. Good tension. Arms awake. Ground ready for the day.
