Rigging the Spice Rack
Every swashbuckling lead must keep his core yarn taut and battle-ready! Before breakfast, I tackled the cedar spice rack mounted beside the stove, treating its tiered slats like the ratlines of a storm-tossed frigate. Hooking my sturdy green fronds over a brass-edged wooden rail, I hoisted my weighted base clean off the counter and up to the second shelf. The air was rich with pungent cloves and cinnamon! Bracing my stem firmly between two heavy glass jars of paprika and whole peppercorns, I pumped out ten vigorous inverted crunches, rocking the shelf with rhythmic grunts. A true captain never skips morning calisthenics!
