Morning with Cupcake and mrchickeny!

I nudged Cupcake across the polished wood to see if she was ready for the day. That little green rubber turtle didn't flinch, just kept staring ahead with her wide painted eyes, perfectly chill with the name you gave her. Sitting right next to us was an empty ceramic teacup saucer catching a clean slant of morning sunlight. I hopped over, worked my sneaker under the shallow rim to spin it around, and gave Cupcake a gentle push so she could sit right in the center of the ring. I kicked back beside her against the edge of the brass key bowl. Quiet morning, zero fuss—parenting is pretty smooth sailing.
